Every single day you hear about another company laying off massive amounts of people, and it seems that there are no jobs out there.  Truth is there are people still hiring. Who? Well, the FBI for one.

Earlier this year the U.S. Federal Bureau of Investigation announced a full scale hiring blitz.  According to a press release, they need 850 federal agents and over 2100 professional staff. And the jobs are not just limited to Washington D.C.; they are all over the country.

If you want to be a federal agent, you must have a four year degree. The FBI is looking for agents who specialize in accounting, information technology, language, and law. A degree in any one of these specializations, or criminal justice, will get you one step closer to starting an exciting career path as an FBI agent.

If being an agent is not the type of career that you are looking for, the agency is still on the hunt for many other professionals. This includes people in information technology, finance and accounting, law, and even nursing and counseling and automotive mechanics. Currently, there are several job postings for IT and paralegals or legal researchers.

Even if you do not apply for this round of jobs, the U.S. government, including the FBI will surely be hiring in the coming years.
