Get a Green Business Degree

You may have heard – green is in! It seems everyone is concerned about climate issues and global warming. And as the idea of green and sustainable energy catches on, the rate of job opportunities for people who are experts in this field will go up. This includes people who are knowledgeable about green business practices.

Now a brand new business degree concentration has become available – Bachelor of Science in Business with a Concentration in Green and Sustainable Enterprise Management. Students who enroll in this degree program will gain expertise in business operations, as well as sustainable business practices.

For instance, one of the classes, may focus on balancing environmental corporate responsibility with keeping an eye on the “bottom line.” Another course will teach students how to create a business plan that takes into account environmental science and economics.

Even while concentrating on sustainability, this degree does not skimp on the useful business foundation classes that you will need to succeed. Critical thinking and strategies in decision making courses teach students how to be managers who make sound decisions and have creative problem solving skills. Students will also learn how to perform economic analysis.

Whether your aim is to be a manager who can offer the unique capability of considering sustainability in their business practices, or if you would like to be a consultant who helps businesses turn green, this degree is a great choice. Ever since the oil spill in the Gulf Of Mexico, I have felt that I want to do something. I am currently getting my degree in radiology, but I am thinking that I want to change to environmental study. What will it take to switch now?

I have always been interested in protecting our environment. I just graduated from college with a bachelors degree in biology. Would I be eligible to work in this industry, or I need to go back to school and take more classes?

This sounds like the kind of study I am interested in. Would a degree in this field allow one to become involved in deep sea drilling restrictions?

Of course, this makes perfect sense. If what is happening in the Gulf Of Mexico is an example of what the future holds, we definately need more of this type of specialty.

This sounds like a great degree. Green tech is going to be the next huge industry to really take off and while its still in its infancy right now is the time to get in on it. Its great that schools are starting to cater to people who want to join the industry while its still on the ground floor.

Hey Steve. A green business degree is a great way to get involved in managing deep sea drilling restrictions. You may also want to consider getting a degree in the Engineering field.
