New Scholarship Awards You for Getting Social on FaceBook

If you are looking for ways to pay for college, you should check out this unique opportunity from www.earnmydegree.com. Their Social Scholarship, run entirely on FaceBook, awards individuals for using their online social skills.

The quarterly scholarship awards the winner $4000 “to meet your educational goals,” a new laptop, and a one-on-one session with a career counselor. So not only do you get money for school, you get help with setting goals for when you graduate!

In order to win, you must get votes on your scholarship application.  Ten finalists with the most votes by June 30th then have their applications sent to the scholarship panel to be reviewed.

How to Apply:

  1. Go to the Earn My Degree FaceBook page – http://www.facebook.com/EarnMyDegree – and select the scholarship tab.
  2. Hit the apply button and fill out the application.
  3. Share the application with your friends and family and get them to vote!

Good luck!

Hey Tommy. This scholarship is a great opportunity! To apply for the scholarship you’ll need to “like” the earn my degree page and then write an essay. You can spread the word about your essay and get as many votes as you can, the top 10 applications with the most votes gets submitted to a panel of judges who choose a winner.

With the popularity and importance of Facebook, it does not surprise me that we can now get scholarships based on our knowledge and use of this social media. Can you post on your wall and ask anyone who sees it to vote for you?
