Setting goals is important for any area of life. Goals keep a person on task, and focused on the results of the task, rather than the work itself. Goal setting keep a person from getting lost and distracted.
Before you finish your college career, set goals for yourself. These can help you get through long semesters, remind you of where you want to be after college, and can help with buckling down in a difficult course.
Some goals you might consider for your college career:
- Complete your degree in 4 years (or another number of years)
- Earning a specific grade in a class (i.e. getting an A in English)
- Working towards a job opportunity
To get the most out of your goals, you should make them specific, realistic, and on a timetable.
Not only should you set goals, but you should review and update them often. The more frequently you review your goals, the better.
