Online College Courses Sprouting Up in Washington

The Seattle Post-Intelligencer recently published an article on the explosive growth of students taking online courses.  75% more students are taking online courses today than 4 years ago, according to the article. 

The advantage of possessing a flexible schedule is cited as the most significant reason for the increase.  The trend is Washington is similar to the nationwide trend.  In fact, the article reports that 3.5 million college students took at least one online college course in the fall of 2006. 

This is definitely exciting news to us.  An interesting note about this trend is that not only do students seem to be interested in online courses, but colleges seem to be offering them to match this need.
