Why I chose online education?
Answer. Why not? Online education helped me get the credits that I needed in order to complete my Bachelors degree. I enjoyed online so much that I went on to obtain my Masters in Education. I am a firm believer of online education because the online flexibility allows one to be able to complete courses in a condensed period of time. Gone, are the times of having to go four years to a major university. Nowadays, most colleges and universities offer some sort of online education, in addition to their brick and mortar campus. As long as the college is either regionally or nationally accredited I would have to say that that school is probably credible and has gone to great lengths to develop the online program and approval to offer it. Be skeptical of the ‘so called’ colleges out there that claim that you can get a degree in one year, but they do not have an accreditation to back their programs up. When I received my degrees, my employer never questioned that the degree was online and you want to know why? I will tell you why. The diploma does not have the University of whatever College Online next to, at least mine did not. My diploma only indicated the college that I attended, and the degree that I received. Even on an official transcript there is no indication of me taking classes online.
With an online program I was able to attend classes when I wanted for as long as I wanted and I must say that this was motivating because I did not have to be stressed out about traffic and getting to class on time etc. Most online programs are delivered through some sort of ‘chat-room’ type environment, or email platform. Students go on online and post answers to questions about real time situations that would occur in everyday work life.
