In my opinion Ednews.org is one of the best sites on the Internet to get current news about education. You click on the story and the link takes you to another link where the story is displayed. Some of the areas that are talked about on this site are:
EdNews K-12, EDNews higher education, International EDNews too.
My favorite section is the EDNEWS commentaries and Reports One article that I found to be the most informative was the one about detention and how students’ can learn better behavior from attending.
Much like an Alcoholics anonymous meeting the offenders stay their name and what they did to get the detention. At the detention the offenders don’t read books and do homework, rather they talk about what it means to respect someone, and they talk about character building and how to be a better person.
