Ideal jobs for working your way through college.
My wife is a nail technician and has been for about five years now. I thought that this would be a good topic to write about since I am so passionate about this idea. I encourage all young Men and Women to look into a licensure trade that will ‘pay the bills’ all while attending college classes either online or at traditional colleges. I recommend starting the trade early in life so that you can quickly move up the ranks and start making money. Let’s face it who wants to flip burgers or work at a big box store if you do not have to? Don’t get me wrong, those jobs are okay, but in today’s society it is mucho expensive to live out on your own, and if you are just starting out and need to provide for yourself then it becomes important to ensure that you have an adequate job that will get you a reliable car, and a decent place to sleep at night, not to mention food and clothing to survive in this world.
If you are a high-school student and are reading this then I suggests checking with your school counselor for trade school options that can be taken as an ‘industrial art’ type class in high school for credit. The best part about most of these programs is that they are totally free. I think that even an Internship right out of high school would set you up for a better then average type job.
The nail technician job, or cosmetology program is a great job that if managed properly can become quite lucrative. Many of the Women and some Men make upwards of $20-$40 per hour which is not a bad wage for a young person trying to get his or her life started. If nails are not your thing- how about becoming a Real Estate agent, or Insurance agent, or even a home inspector?
Look into some of these degrees, and it is sure to make your life a lot easier while deciding what college to attend for the future.
